Roger Castillo

Roger Castillo is currently the Sales Director, Retail and Financial Services, with responsibility for the consolidated sales activities for The Dallas Morning News and its portfolio of print and digital products and services. As the head of Retail and Financial Services, Roger is responsible for ensuring that the go-to-market sales strategy and strategic positioning of the product and services portfolio are aligned to meet the needs of large local and national clients.

Prior to this role, Roger held two positions with The News. In June 2007, Roger assumed the role of Local Sales Director, with responsibility for managing sales efforts across five regional sales teams that focused on small and medium-sized businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth DMA. 

Castillo joined The News as the West Zone Sales Manager, with an emphasis on business development, in February 2005. Roger successfully led the sales efforts during the introduction of newly created zoned editions of The Dallas Morning News.

From 2002 to 2005, Castillo held the positions of Automotive Director and Classified Sales Manager at the East Valley Tribune in Mesa, Arizona. 

From 1995 to 2002, Roger held a variety of roles at The Augusta Chronicle. During his tenure at The Augusta Chronicle, Roger’s experience was in leading sales teams, sales support, art, operations and business development.

Castillo is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut.

He and his wife Kelli have two awesome dogs and live in Colleyville, Texas.
